Green, Stripes, Leopard and Snow

Cardigan: Thrifted | Scarf: Ebay

Hello snow! It pretty much snowed all day Sunday.. But not enough to stick. It's getting COLD now! I've definitely been bundling up warmer the past few days.

It's getting harder to want to dress nicer lately.. Pregnancy is getting more and more uncomfortable and if I don't have to go out for anything I don't. I stay inside, wearing comfy "home" clothes. .. Nothing blog worthy.

Today {Tuesday} is day 1 of 39 weeks! Can't believe it! And my parents fly out this Saturday to stay with us for a couple weeks. Pretty excited about that. We have a 5 hour drive to Main to pick them up at the airport. It's TONS cheaper to fly within the states rather than flying into Canada from the states. Hopefully all goes well with the long drive.

.. Wow.. this could possibly be my last maternity post... We shall see!!

4 Years + Black and White

Maternity Maxi Skirt: Old Navy | Top: Thrifted | Jean Jacket: GAP
Boots: Ardene | Necklace: Thrifted

We celebrated our 4th anniversary on Thursday, the 24th. I woke up 4:30 in the morning and taped photos on the bathroom mirror in the shape of the number 4, so he would get a sweet message in the morning before leaving for work. {got the idea from here}. I didn't realize he couldn't sleep and had been awake all night long.. so he was wondering what was taking this midnight "bathroom trip" longer than my normal 15 midnight bathroom trips! ha ha! I made crockpot lasagna for dinner {recipe found here} and a chocolate peanut butter Oreo pie for dessert {recipe found here}. But because Hubby sometimes doesn't get home from work until 8, we decided we would "go out" on Saturday. So last night {because I'm writing this Sunday} we went out to dinner and then to the mall to take some fun photos in the mall photo booth, .. you know, those fun little cramped booths you squish into and take little photos? I brought along some props for some added fun.

I love my Hubby so much. You know you love someone the day you marry them, but little do you know just how much that love can grow the longer you are together. He is my best friend, my hero, my lover, my confidant.. I CANNOT imagine life without him. True, there are "those days" or "those moments" .. but the love and laughter we share on a regular basis FAR outweigh any of those. I'm so thankful that my Heavenly Father loves me SO. VERY. MUCH to give me the BEST for me! ... You know that feeling "I'm so glad I waited for this one." ?? Ya, that's pretty much what I think every time I stop and think about my life with my husband. God is good. He gave me the best for me!

Combining Pinned Outfits

Black and Red - Source

Black and Tan - Source

Maternity Maxi Skirt: Old Navy | Maternity Top: Walmart | Cardigan: Thrifted
Scarf: Dollarama | Boots: Ardene

Decided to mix these two pins together that I pinned earlier this week. I did the whole "faking a dress" thing again, like I did here. .. I think my black top is being stretched to its limit! : ) Anyway, I really like how the outfit turned out. Very comfy too. .. I think this scarf is really the only pop of read I have in my wardrobe. .. Hmm.. I'll need to fix that ; ) I'd really love a pretty red top for the holiday seasons.

Leopard Print

Black Maxi Skirt, White T, leopard print scarf - source

Maternity Maxi Skirt: Old Navy | T-shirt: Walmart | Jacket: GAP
Belt: Ardene | Shoes: Ardene | Scarf: Ebay | Earrings: Etsy

I love my maternity maxi skirt. It's just the most comfiest thing right now. I don't really like wearing black and white together.. but you can always accessorize and help the outfit not look so bland. This is the first time getting to wear my leopard print scarf! It was cool out this morning : ) Felt great!

If you're one of my friends on Facebook then you probably saw my status from earlier today when I shared about a lady who predicted some things about my pregnancy today.. First of all, she came over to me after church and asked if she could rub my feet for me.. uhh... kind of a little *aaakwardddddd* ... I told her I didn't need them rubbed, that it's mainly my back and sciatic nerves giving me pain. That was pretty thoughtful of her though... considering the fact that she's just started visiting our church and it was the first I've talked to her! Then she went on to ask me if I was thin or small before I was pregnant, and if my hips had been small or big. She said that after the Baby, my hips would never be the size they were before again. haha! Okay. Thanks for the warning. Then after we talked a little about my due date she looks into the near future and tells me, "Well, you're still carrying pretty high, so you're definitely not going to be early... maybe two weeks late." .. And she assures me she knows her stuff because she's been through it all before.. with her two children : ) ... So what did I do when I got home this afternoon??? ... I called up my parents and told them they needed to contact the airlines right away and change their flight for two weeks after my due date, .. to be sure they will be here on time! ...  ha ha JUST KIDDING...  ; ) ... People are so funny. Nothing she said offended me at all. It really humored me actually!

Anyway, that was my funny story from the day. And now I leave you with a visual of me throwing some fall leaves.. just because : )

Maxi Skirt with Sweater

Maternity Maxi Skirt: Old Navy | Sweater: Thrifted
Sandals: Ardene | Necklace: Ebay

Today we had a free photo session at Walmart's photo studio! Yep, FREE! Well.. several months ago Hubby and I were browsing through Walmart and found this little stuffed moose with a note attached, saying "I'm lost. Please return me to the portrait studio to claim your prize." So we won a free session and 10x13 photo. Although today after taking our shots we couldn't decide which we liked better between two pictures, so we were able to get TWO 8x10's for a total of only $5.60 (rather than one free 10x13). We're pretty happy with that deal as well! So fun! Can't wait to get the photos in two weeks!

So this is the outfit I decided to wear for the photos.

 .. And this was Hubby's..

Handsome, right? ; )

Pregnancy has gotten harder ... Sleep is getting harder. Mostly because my back and sciatic pains are KILLING me through the night. I feel like when I switch sides during the night I wake the WHOLE apartment building up! And my sciatic pains are hurting so much that I feel like I walk around like some huge clumsy ogre! ... Ya, not a pretty sight.. I still haven't really started the whole counting down the days yet. I'd rather not start doing that. I mean, obviously I know how far away (close) my due date is, but I just don't want to seem overly anxious for him to be out. .. Okay, that didn't sound right. Of course I can't wait to meet this little boy, but other than the back and sciatic pains, I loving growing my baby! I'm just taking each day at a time and enjoying most of it! He's gotten so strong and his movements are so much crazier! ... I call them "violent" !! The other day I pretty much saw half a foot poking out!

Oh! We got our crib this week! {Davinci Jenny Lind} My inlaws bought it for us and Hubby and I set it up tonight. That was fun. I bought fabric for the fitted sheet and my mom inlaw is making the sheet.

And little Elphie waits for his boy...

Polka Dots

Maternity Maxi Skirt: Old Navy | Maternity Top: H&M
Shoes: Probably Walmart | Belt: H&M
Necklace: Thrifted | Earrings: Handmade by me

Hubby and I went out on the town last night and I bought this polka dot maternity shirt that I fell in love with last week at H&M! I don't often buy brand new clothes unless it's from Walmart mostly, but when I do it's pretty exciting! I just LOVE this polka dot shirt! And I found a nice looong skinny belt there as well for pretty cheap. .. All my belts have gotten too small... I felt so good today in this outfit!

While out shopping we bought the baby book we have been wanting to get and also bought our baby's first stuffed animal. I fell in love with it a couple weeks ago and promised the little cutie I'd be back for him. His name is Elphie and he's waiting in the my baby boy's cradle for him.

Faking a Dress

Maternity Maxi Skirt: Old Navy | Maternity Top: Walmart
Sandals: Ardene |Necklace: Yard Sale | Earrings: Ardene

Inspired by the long black dress in this pin, I thought I'd fake a dress with my black maxi skirt and black maternity top! I think it turned out great! I felt so great all day- comfy and confident! It felt very slimming of an outfit, and it just makes my belly POP! It's hard to believe this top used to be loose on me! It's all full of BELLY now! :) .. And I LOVE it! I will definitely wear this outfit again.. (.. good thing I also bought the larger size of this same top!)

Black and Teal

Maternity Maxi Skirt: Old Navy | Maternity Top: Old Navy
Under Shirt/Tank: Walmart | Sandals: Ardene | Belt: Thrifted
Necklace: Yard Sale | Earrings: Ardene

THIS IS THE COMFIEST SKIRT EVEEERR!!! I'm so glad I bought it cause it's perfect! The lady that worked at Old Navy saw me looking at it and told me I would totally love it and wear it all the time, even after the baby. She said she wears hers all the time with a cool tank top. Well, .. I have to say that I don't think she was just trying to make a sale for the store! Because she's right. I can see myself wearing this a lot. If you're pregnant and live near an Old Navy you gotta get one! ... If they still have them in stock. Mine was on sale for maybe 20% off.

Ahhh, today is such a beautiful day.. I can feel Fall coming. Fall is my absolute faaaavorite season of all. I just love everything about the season. Check out my Pinterest Fall board to see! I'm really looking forward to dressing in the Fall! Layers, sweaters, boots, scarves... I looove the feeling when summer transitions into fall.. I'm beginning to feel it now. .. I could go on about my love for Fall.. Seriously!

Maxi Skirt + Taco Bell

Skirt: Walmart | Top: Thrifted
Shoes: Ardene | Belt: Thrifted
 Necklace: Thrifted | Earrings: Avon

Totally got distracted in church this morning and got a mad craving for a crunchy taco from Taco Bell! Since I've been here in Canada we only just got a Taco Bell here in our town in the last two years probably- in the mall. We rarely go there when we decide to eat out, .. mostly because it's Hubby's least favorite fast food joint. But it's my faaaaavorite! (and come to think of it, I hardly ever think of it!) Growing up, my mom, brother, sister and I would often eat there for lunch together when we were out on the town doing errands. So I guess it's also a comfort food in that it reminds me of my younger years with my family. So I got a craving. Once church was out we hit the road and I got my Taco Bell. Then off to Hubby's grandparent's for the weekly Sunday lunch... And I will just mention that I did not eat two meals haha. Hubby enjoyed his Grandma's spaghetti pasta meal and I enjoyed every. single. bite. of my crunchy taco and bean burrito- with LOTS of red sauce! :)
