I'm very much drawn to stripes lately. Particularly black and white. Here's my Pinterest inspiration outfit that I copied. I love this outfit and I felt great in it too. Very comfy. You would think stripes would be something to avoid wearing especially during pregnancy, but so far they're working just fine!

 

People are still telling Hubby and me that I don't even look  pregnant- ha. .. I think they need to take another look! Just look at that belly! : ) Hubby says it's really poppin' out there within the last week. This little boy is doing some major growing in there. I'm having a lot of back pains right now too.. Putting my hot pad to work. It helps a lot with the sciatic pains I get in my left leg.   

Well.. Hubby is back to his normal work week routine tomorrow.. booooo! I've loved having him with me all day long, all week long. Vacations are great.

Thought I would try this little tip I found on Pitnerest awhile back, to wear a short skirt with a long top. They say it lengthens the legs, but.. I don't really see it haha! Maybe it has to be a mini skirt.. which I don't wear, by the way ;) 

Today in between Sunday School and morning service I was slouched in my pew, staring at my belly. Baby was moving and for the first time I got to SEE the kicks! It was a pretty amazing moment. Then during the service he was kicking like crazy and Hubby was able to see it too! Oh the excitement on our faces! I am so loving this! 

My Hubby's Grampa has a garden and our favorite thing to attack are the raspberry bushes! Mmmm they're so nummy! These have become my new favorite fruits!

It's so fun finding new outfits in your closet amongst all your old existing clothing! I don't own any khaki shorts so I went with the closest I had. And plus, these shorts are maternity so they are sooo comfy! (but now I'm really wanting some khaki shorts!) I love the white top in the Pinterest inspiration photo, but all I had was a long sleeve white t-shirt. I just pulled up the sleeves and rolled up a cuff. Perfect! It's not a "wow-ing" outfit (then again, I'm not really the "wow-ing" dresser!), but I did feel pretty cute today. And just look at that belly! Eeek! I love my baby bump! It's seriously taking off in the growth process lately! I think I've finally come out of the "looking like I ate too much dinner" stage of my pregnancy!

Baby Boy's little movements are getting stronger and have become actual kicks! So adorable! But every time I put my hand on my belly He stops! And he definitely won't let Daddy feel him yet either. I just love all the little wiggles and kicks going on inside! A little life in my tummy!

Oops on the weird photos! I had Hubby use his phone camera and the sun was too bright! Didn't feel like going outside to take better photos because dinner was in the oven. 

I LOVE stripes, but I feel very large when I wear them. I was inspired by this post to try the whole stripe thing with the baby bump. Man, I feel like my belly has just majorly poked out over night! 

Yesterday I finished my very first blanket for my baby boy!

Another HOT HOT day! We pretty much died this afternoon in our super warm apartment. But my husband's grampa just gave us his old air conditioner window unit so we are hoping it will work out in our apartment! Tomorrow we call our landlord to see about it being put in as soon as we can. Praying it works out and fits in the window. It will really save our lives this summer! I don't remember any summer here being as hot and humid as this one, but maybe being pregnant doesn't make enduring the heat any easier! ;) 

I've been having some really bad pains in my right side for the past 3 days. I've done some research online and I think it's probably just my round ligaments stretching/or spasms. But I'm calling my doctor this week just to make sure it's nothing else.

Well, me and Baby Boy are half way through this pregnancy!

Killer Humidity

WOW, what a stinking warm day we had today! We live on the 3rd floor of our apartment building and we do not have any air conditioning! Ugh.. I think the nasty humidity and heat is causing some of my dizziness and nausea lately. Yes, morning sickness has been returning here and there for the past couple of weeks now. Mostly the reason I haven't been blogging as much as I first was. 

After we ate dinner and let the day cool off into the evening, we went out for a walk. We like to drive across town (across the river is what we say- the St. John River separates our town), park and walk around the cute and peaceful little neighborhoods. I had an ice cream craving, so we made a quick stop first. Bummer, they were out of my favorite flavor, but I picked a new yummy one! 

I LOVE this new t-shirt I'm wearing! .. well, used.. but whatever. I found it at the thrift store yesterday for $2.99! I love how it fits and makes me feel. It's loose and comfy and I adore the way it rests on my belly!! I actually thought it was gray when I bought it, kind of why I bought it. But it has a bit of a tan color to it. Oh well. Still my new favorite shirt!

Time for bed! .. It's cooler out tonight, so I'm sure we'll be able to sleep well.. and we'll have all 3 of our fans blowing on us as well!

P.S Happy 4th of July!! 

Hubby and I watched fireworks for Canada Day on Monday night. LOOVE fireworks!

Totally got distracted in church this morning and got a mad craving for a crunchy taco from Taco Bell! Since I've been here in Canada we only just got a Taco Bell here in our town in the last two years probably- in the mall. We rarely go there when we decide to eat out, .. mostly because it's Hubby's least favorite fast food joint. But it's my faaaaavorite! (and come to think of it, I hardly ever think of it!) Growing up, my mom, brother, sister and I would often eat there for lunch together when we were out on the town doing errands. So I guess it's also a comfort food in that it reminds me of my younger years with my family. So I got a craving. Once church was out we hit the road and I got my Taco Bell. Then off to Hubby's grandparent's for the weekly Sunday lunch... And I will just mention that I did not eat two meals haha. Hubby enjoyed his Grandma's spaghetti pasta meal and I enjoyed every. single. bite. of my crunchy taco and bean burrito- with LOTS of red sauce! :)

Hello again, Black and Brown! I decided to try the little black dress and brown belt idea I found on Pinterest the other day. And I love love looove it! Okay, so more than once a week my outfits are inspired by Pinterest ideas! Maybe I limited myself in saying "once a week" .. But NO LESS than once a week will be the challenge. There.

Today an elderly lady at church asked me, "Are you sure you really have something to announce to us Saturday??" ..  I thought she was referring to our Gender Reveal invitation and she wanted to see the info, so I told her it was pinned on the back bulletin. She said, "You are so thin, are you sure you have something to announce to us?" haha! Sweet compliment, but .. can't you see my little belly poking out??.. The little belly I'm trying so hard to work here?! But I will gladly take the "you are so thin" compliment any day! This morning I walked out the house feeling like a cow! Why is it those are the days people seem to compliment the most?

Look out! Apparently when I'm hungry and have no idea what to make for dinner I get ANGRY. .. I might even kick the container of Parmesan cheese when it falls out of the fridge. And it's possible that I stomped to our balcony door, glared and screamed in my head at the annoyingly loud truck racing by our apartment.. I think I need to spend some time focusing more on being prepared with meals.

For some fun and challenge, I've decided that once a week I will pick an outfit idea from my Pinterest board and copy it. I'm always wanting to try out many of the ideas I pin, but never actually get into my closet and try it out. So this will get me going!

Little tip: If your regular pants won't button anymore because of your bump, use this hair elastic trick! I've actually been doing that for a couple of weeks now.

Wow, today has been major "pregnancy brain" for me! First of all, I had my first hospital prenatal appointment this afternoon, so Hubby came home from work to go with me. I wasn't sure what kind of appointment it was, so I was thinking maybe they were going to show us the ropes around the hospital and all the details with delivery rooms and what-nots. We get there only to find out that my appointment is for JULY 17th, not JUNE!.. Good grief. When I got the appointment call a couple weeks ago I even wrote it on the calendar for JULY and had a note pad with the correct month and details sitting on the counter and I've been looking at it all week! .. That was embarrassing. 

And then a couple hours ago I opened my balcony door to let in some cool air from the beautiful day, not remembering earlier I had pushed open the screen door and closed the inside door (don't remember why I did that..). So I'm sitting here on the couch and notice a giant wasp buzzing around my living room! I ran for a kitchen towel and gently shooed him out the door. 

.. I think I need to go back to bed and just stay there...

These pants actually don't fit! I zipped them as far as they would comfortably go, then I tucked the button flaps/corners down inside the pants. Perfect! And I love that my shirt is long enough to hide the pants poochies on the sides since they pucker a bit at the pockets.
