Brown and Black

Jeans: Hand-me-downs | Maternity top: Walmart
Cardigan: Thrifted | Sandals: Ardene
Belt: Thrifted | Necklace: Ebay

In college a friend shared a rule with me that brown and black should never be worn together. So from then on, I N-E-V-E-R would wear the two colors together. I thought it was super ugly and weird and would totally stress out if I had to wear brown shoes with a black outfit because of the lack of black shoes haha. But I think I pulled this "brown and black" off well today. I guess it can be done (and depends on how it's done too maybe). This black top is my faaaavorite shirt and I swear I wear it all the time! It's so comfy and I feel really good in it.

Isn't this park gorgeous?! It's my favorite park in the city, and it's the park we're going to be having our gender reveal party at SOOOON!

Oh and P.S. Thank you to my "unsung hero of the blogsite," my Hubby, for taking my photos for every outfit!! .. Tonight he almost got eaten alive by mosquitoes while taking my photos! Oh what our husbands do for us.

  1. Yes, you pulled off the whole brown and black great! I am that type of person who doesn't mix black and brown. With the two wrong colors, you could walk around looking like a giant reeces peanut butter cup. For your hubby, if he is itchy, wipe hot water over the bite and then sprinkle some salt on it and rub it in. It might sting for a bite, but the itch will be gone. Good luck and you look great!
